Welcome to the Arabic Calligraphy Course – Riq‘ah Script for Adults.

Our weekly lessons are designed to offer an interactive learning experience for anyone interested in discovering the beauty of Arabic calligraphy.

About the Instructor
The course will be taught in Arabic by Islamic calligrapher Farhan Pratama, who holds a strong academic background in Arabic language and literature.
He has extensive experience in teaching traditional calligraphy arts and is skilled in classical calligraphy techniques, drawing, painting, and digital editing.
He also holds an Ijazah (certificate) in Ruq‘ah script from Sheikh Belaid Hamidi (Morocco).

What You Will Learn
Under the instructor’s guidance, students will learn:

The fundamentals of the Ruq‘ah script—the most common and widely used Arabic script.

The history, features, and applications of Ruq‘ah.

How to properly prepare reed pens and ink.

Course Structure
Duration: 6 weeks
Each session builds on the previous one, following the traditional sequential method of teaching Arabic calligraphy.
Classes include:

In-class practical assessments.

Homework assignments.

Continuous personalized guidance to ensure steady progress.

By the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation that enables them to confidently advance to higher levels.

No prior experience is required—all materials will be provided to participants.
