Make Sūrah al-Kahf part of your Friday.

Meeting every Friday, Companions of al-Kahf: A Friday Qur’an Journey offers a dedicated space to connect with Sūrah al-Kahf on the day traditionally associated with its recitation. Through guided practice and correction, participants will work through the sūrah with an instructor, developing greater accuracy, confidence, and fluency in their recitation.

Over the six weeks, participants will also learn an approach they can continue independently, supporting them in gradually memorizing Sūrah al-Kahf and maintaining a meaningful relationship with it beyond the program.

What You Will Gain

• Improve their pronunciation and recitation of Sūrah al-Kahf.
• Identify and apply essential Tajweed rules through guided practice.
• Receive direct correction and guidance from the instructor.
• Develop greater fluency and confidence when reciting the sūrah.
• Build a strong foundation for gradually memorizing Sūrah al-Kahf.
• Establish a meaningful Friday routine centered around the Qur’an.

Who Can Join?

The program is open to males aged 13 and above.

Participants should already be able to read and recite the Qur’an at a basic level. The program is focused on improving recitation rather than teaching Qur’anic reading from the beginning.

Fathers are encouraged to attend together with their sons, providing an opportunity to share a regular Qur’anic learning experience.

Language

The program will be delivered primarily in Arabic, with the instructor able to provide brief clarification in English when needed.

As the sessions are centered primarily on recitation, listening, and correction rather than extensive lectures, English-speaking participants are welcome and do not need to be fluent in Arabic.
