The Art of the Qalam: Introduction to Diwani Script (Adults)

This course introduces the elegance and fluidity of the Diwani script, one of the most expressive styles in Islamic calligraphy.

Designed for adults and provides a structured path to develop precision, flow, and balance. Participants will explore the script’s key characteristics through guided practice and personalized feedback, strengthening both technical skill and artistic expression. Prior experience in Arabic calligraphy is recommended.

Weekly sessions follow a structured, practice-oriented methodology rooted in traditional teaching approaches, while incorporating guided exercises and personalized feedback to support continuous improvement.

Through this journey, participants will deepen their appreciation of Arabic calligraphy as both an art form and a disciplined practice, strengthening their technical ability and artistic expression.

What Will You Learn?

About the Instructor
The course is delivered in Arabic by Farhan Yudha Pratama, an Islamic calligraphy artist who holds an Ijazah (certification) in Riqʿah script from Ustadh Belaid Hamidi (Morocco).
