Ain Al-Arabiyyah: Fundamentals of Classical Arabic

ʿAyn Al-ʿArabiyyah: Fundamentals of Classical Arabic is a 6-week course for non-native speakers of Arabic with prior Qur’an recitation ability. Using Surah Yusuf, students are introduced to Classical Arabic grammar, vocabulary, and linguistic structures directly from the Qur’an. Through short phrases and repeated examples, learners reinforce reading and comprehension skills. We use the incredible narrative of Surah Yusuf, The Best of Stories, as our interactive textbook to master the fundamentals of Classical Arabic grammar (Nahw) and vocabulary! The course develops awareness of grammar usage, builds a core vocabulary, and improves Qur’anic reading ability through instruction and feedback. No prior knowledge of Arabic grammar is required, however must be able to recite the Qur'an.
