Our Space

Nestled in Education City, Minaretein is a living space that blends sacred tradition with contemporary life. Rooted in Islam, it invites all to grow in faith, seek knowledge, and find belonging in an open community.

Where Worship, Knowledge, and Community Meet

Inaugurated by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser in 2015, Minaretein-meaning “The Twin Minarets”- is an architectural landmark. Its design revives the traditional Islamic model where mosque and madrasa are deeply connected. Internationally acclaimed, Minaretein has won multiple awards, including the World Architecture Festival Prize (2015).

The building is structured around five pillars symbolizing the five pillars of Islam. Inside it features 99 relief panels showcasing global Islamic architecture, serene flowing water, and elegant Qur’anic calligraphy by Taha Al-Hiti. With a capacity for 2,800 worshippers, it serves as a vibrant community space for prayer, learning, and reflection.

Whether you enter to pray, study, or simply pause and reflect, Minaretein welcomes you into a space where faith lives and breathes.

Beacon of Light

At the core of Minaretein lies the Education City Mosque, a breathtaking space that serves as both a spiritual retreat and a gathering point for our community.

The Courtyards

Minaretein features two open-air courtyards - the Terrace and Garden Courtyards - that serve as an extension of the mosque’s indoor prayer space, and a serene outdoor environment designed to cool and comfort worshippers. The curved glass façade displays verses from Surat Al-Hujurat (49:1–13), highlighting ethical value...

The Gardens

Encircling Minaretein are four thematic gardens - the Garden of Light, the Garden of Scent, the Garden of Art, and the Garden of Knowledge. Each inviting reflection, serenity, and connection to the natural world, and reminding us that nature is a sign (āyah) from Allah.
