Sustainable Zero-Waste Community Iftar

Minaretein’s Community Iftar is one of the largest sustainability-driven Ramadan initiatives in Qatar.

Held daily throughout Ramadan, the iftar tent serves the fasting community while modeling environmental responsibility and ethical stewardship. The initiative is built around:

• Eliminating single-use plastics
• Recyclable and compostable materials
• Responsible food distribution
• Waste reduction and composting within Education City

Beyond serving meals, the tent becomes a space for community awareness, featuring educational engagements on health, wellbeing, workers’ rights, and social responsibility.

The Zero-Waste Iftar reflects a simple principle:
Faith must inform how we consume, serve, and sustain.
