This four-part Ramadan lecture series with Shaykh Abdur-Raheem McCarthy invites participants on a spiritual journey through the Qur’an, character, family life, and sustained taqwa. Each session helps believers reflect on how to internalize Ramadan’s lessons and embody them within their homes, relationships, and daily lives.
Part of Minaretein Center’s new mission, Al-Iman Amānah: Faith as a Living Trust, this series also forms a part of the Center’s broader Ramadan programming and reflects its commitment to lifelong learning, ethical consciousness, and faith lived in action.
Feb 18 | Ramadan Hearts: Renewing Īmān Through the Qur’an
The Qur’an was revealed as guidance for hearts seeking clarity and renewal. This opening session reflects on how engaging deeply with the Qur’an during Ramadan revives īmān, softens the heart, and reorients the believer toward Allah with sincerity and humility.
Feb 25 | Living the Amānah: Trust, Responsibility, and Character in Islam
Faith is not only belief — it is a trust carried through action. This session explores the concept of amānah as a central pillar of Islamic character, examining how Ramadan strengthens moral responsibility, integrity, and accountability toward Allah, family, and society.
March 4 | Family, Youth, and Faith: Building a Qur’anic Home in Modern Times
In an age of constant distraction and shifting values, the home remains the primary space where faith is lived and transmitted. This session reflects on nurturing Qur’anic values within families, raising faith-anchored youth, and cultivating homes rooted in mercy, responsibility, and spiritual presence.
March 11 | From Ramadan to the Rest of the Year: Sustaining Taqwa in Daily Life
As Ramadan draws to a close, the greater challenge begins: carrying taqwa forward. This concluding session focuses on how to preserve the spiritual gains of Ramadan and translate them into consistent worship, ethical living, and conscious reliance on Allah throughout the year.
Shaykh Abdur Raheem Stephen McCarthy is an internationally recognized Muslim scholar and trainer specializing in daʿwah and Islamic outreach. With over two decades of field experience across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Asia, he combines academic training from the Islamic University of Madinah with extensive international outreach work and a strong media presence.
