Under the banner of Maker Majlis, a platform that brings together youth and faith, the College of Islamic Studies (CIS) proudly launched Al-Imān Amānah, a new initiative grounded in the conviction that faith is the most important capital every human being must protect.

The initiative reflects the understanding that the wholesome success of a human being depends upon the preservation and strengthening of faith. In this context, the launch event explored the growing intellectual and spiritual challenges facing faith in today’s post-truth era.

During the event, Dr. Mustafa Elamin, Chair of Maker Majlis, unveiled the Al-Imān Amānah slogan as an evolved vision of the platform, emphasizing the essential role of faith as a cornerstone of human existence and human flourishing.

The keynote lecture was delivered by Dr. Recep Şentürk, Dean of the College of Islamic Studies at Hamad Bin Khalifa University. In his lecture, Dr. Şentürk addressed the contemporary challenges confronting faith, arguing that faith today is under intensive attack by advocates of post-truth ideology who deny objective truth and moral standards through forms of deconstructive individualism, relativism, and subjectivism.

The lecture presented post-truth ideology as a profound danger to humanity, further compounded by what Dr. Şentürk described as accommodation theologies that attempt to dress materialistic worldviews in Islamic language, including approaches influenced by evolutionism and the social construction of truth.

The session invited participants to critically reflect on the importance of safeguarding faith in an increasingly fragmented intellectual landscape and reinforced the role of Islamic scholarship in responding thoughtfully to contemporary ideological challenges.
