Sheikh Dr. Omar Suleiman is an American Muslim scholar, author, and community leader known for his insightful scholarship and ability to connect Islamic tradition with contemporary challenges.

He is the Founder and President of the Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research, and serves as a Professor of Islamic Studies at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas. He also serves as a resident scholar at Valley Ranch Islamic Center.

Dr. Suleiman holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting, a Bachelor’s in Islamic Law, a Master’s in Islamic Finance, Master’s in Political History and a PhD in Islamic Thought and Civilization from the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM).

With his accessible teaching style and focus on spiritual growth, social justice, and ethical leadership, Dr. Omar Suleiman has become a prominent voice in global Islamic discourse, inspiring Muslims to live their faith with purpose, compassion, and integrity.
